The "Official" Post MotoGP @ Indy Thread

I had a great weekend! In spite of some inclement weather this has to be the highlight of the year. It was great to meet a bunch of new people and to be there for the inauguration of such a historic event. I know we had some people, like Bob, travel from far off places like Scotland (and Kurt came from Spain
)
To my knowledge everyone has made it home safely, or are still enjoying their vacation in the US
I know we had a few hiccups and it was great to see members helping each other out to get through them.
There's a gallery of pics started in the gallery section of the site. Be sure to check out the pics, leave comments, and upload your own.
I know that the original MotoGP thread contained pages and pages of planning posts so lets move the discussion over to this thread to have all the fresh stuff available for members to find easily

Mario told me that the card trick was broadcast on television, live, world-wide, for a full 5 seconds. I guess the Italians gave it a "decent" but from the picture I found I think we kicked ass
I guess the words for "decent" and "superb" must translate the same from Italian to English

Hats off to the hometown Hoosier folks for all their efforts during this great event. While I did not get the chance to meet any other Hooligans and the weather was truly Biblical at times (did you hear what Rossi said about it during the post race? He said he was praying for the red flag!), it was still such a well run event I already know I am coming back next year. Well done to everyone involved!

If Mario got a knee down, what kind of condition is his bike in after that lowside?

Just F'ing with Mario on the knee down thing. But seriously, Hoosier Hooligans got some hard core exposure this weekend, and Mario seemed to be at the highest visibility level at all times. I think anyone that strolled through the Island now knows that Mario and the Hoosier Hooligans exist. Good job Grifo! I'm just glad you didn't go down leading the largest Ducati group ride in the U.S. and turning it into the largest group accident. Again, F'ing with ya. That must have been a thrill.

Mario wouldn't crash..... It would scratch up his bling
He told me that he found a belt sander and used it to wear in his knee pucks a bit

I really over-did it this weekend. I had four sets of friends in town and didn't get to spend much time with any of them!
Had a group of engineers from Harley (10 ppl), Friends from Ohio (25 ppl), Friends from Chicago (20 ppl) and friends from Ireland (3 ppl).
Almsot 60 people to herd around to restaurants, the track, the flat track, to hotels -it was a massive clusterfuck. Had reservations for 25 at BARCelona on Friday and over 50 showed up -and not all at the same time.
I learned my lesson, I'm not planning shit next year and am going to worry about
me
only. Looking forward to it already! And I'll get to hang out with the Hooligans a bit mroe!

Thank you everyone for being there for the club when we needed you the most. Get ready for next year, Ducati is increasing the budget for Project Mugello.
I'll post more later I need to get some sleep and get back to work.
