The fellers happened to ride by unannounced yesterday while ol’GrannyHorse had her dogs out running loose and found out fast that her yard sharks like chasing the bikes, (red being their favorite).  So we all decided that the best way to run the Pit Bull gauntlet was to slow down on approaching them and then blasting past their open jaws.  This maneuver creates havoc in the pack as the poor pups once they choose their attack vector can hardly change direction.   Well after several hours of shark baiting and the consumption of mass quantities of redneck biker brew ol’Henry got caught by Pisser.  Man that dog can sure chew up a tire fast.  Will be buying a new set of Super Corsa III’s, (cheaper than Eagle’s tickets).

I've checked and can tell you all that Horse has never used a computer that any other member has used.  It's quite unlikely that he's got a second account, or if he does, he works VERY hard to hide that fact.

Really these are not adventures, just a few episodes that I thought you guys might be amused by.  No, I am not Matt Carr, but I know the guy, runs a great shop, hard worker and all that.

If anyone wants to hook up and have a real adventure, I would be glad to drop everything and head out to L.A. by “Route 66” then back through El Paso and on to Daytona’s Biketoberfest.  Then up to Cherekee and back home again in Indiana.  We may even run into some non “redneck” friends.  Could even take some pictures.

toasterTank,

Yes, touring is a lot of fun, probably the best part of the motorcycle scene for me.  Really the only thing that I don’t like about my Ducati Hyper is that the tank is to small, (got to stop all the time for fuel).  I know that Ducati has a sport touring type bike but I had an fjr1300 that was a let down.  You know, it wasn’t sporty enough when it was time to sport and not toury enough when it was time to tour.  So am past combo units.  Multiple bikes is the way if it can be afforded.

Say, this is a nice website.  Ol’horse does tend to get up on the hind legs but only here for entertainment.  Hope to get up north and met the Ducati people.

Horse
I Know what you me on the touring bike let down. I have ridden several of the so called sport tours and have always found them more tour than sport. But then I got my old ST2 and have to say of all my bikes that is the one that I choose to ride most often. Has plenty of sport and great for the long haul. I have not found that bike to have a limiting factor on my riding. Lets face it I am the limiting factor most of the time.

And before you say it Troy or Quinn. I know, I know, I am not a good enough rider to push the limits

Drew, you're not that good of a rider to push that St2 to it's limits...

I went for a ride down the East Grade of Palomar with a guy on an ST2 once.  Some twit on ZX-7R was fast on the straights and parking it in the corners.  The guy on the ST2 wound up grinding a muffler to get around him going into a curve.  They can be ridden fast.

Yes BrianS, have met some Ducati riders around here.  Last ride in north part of state almost ran out of gas on the red Hyper with slipon, cam, heated multistrada grips, cigarrette lighter, electic heated vest, tank wrap, girl magnet, --light came on in front of Shades but lucky me, made it  to I think it was Kingman.  The reason we were around Shades is it’s the only place north of St Rd 36 that doesn’t remind us of flat barren motorcycle waste land.  We down here like curvey groovy smoothie.  We also make our own tracks, that way on track day we set all the records.

Been thinking about going into a new line of work since Ducati does not focus on touring, leaving us lots of time on our hands.  We are going to start an invention club to fill in the time.  Going to call it the Rube Goldburg Redneck Riding club.  The first invention is going to be a red fly swatter.  It goes real fast for about 20 seconds, then you have to get off.  (I knew a girl once that gave me the idea.)

Here is the gig Grubby.  I innocently came to this site looking for people that appriciated riding Ducti because for most of my life I have been riding junk.  But then someone had an avitar of I think it was an AR15 pointed at the reader.  While I am thankful for all that the military has done for me, I don’t like looking up the barrel of guns even if they are just pictures.  Then you flash a badge at me.  I don’t really have time for the poolice.  So I can keep being a dick or you guys can quit flashing badges.
