Well it was justified. It was the last AMA race for the Ducati Factory team in 2006, and the Suzuki team wanted to boycot the race. I was hanging out in the pits with the team and Bryan. So Beth and I wanted to start some shit with the Suzuki riders . Better judgement prevaled and we had a race!

I would throw down with a Boz Bros. at my back..  I mean if it was justified!

Did I ever tell you guys when Ben Bostrom and I almost started a fist fight with the Suzuki riders @ MidOhio..

Was thinking the same thing on both counts, Scout. I am a VR fanboy to the core but one race don't mean the boss is back. And Dovi and Cal brawling would be AWESOME!

I bet sometime this year Dovi and Crutchlow get into a fight!  I love watching those two race.

Before everyone goes out and buys VR46 everything, just remember last year at Le Mans.......

i guess we will have to start wishing for rain on race days. She sure looks good in the rain ( Rossi did too ). Hopefully this is beginning of a good relationship.

The first batch is pretty much sold but I'll be ordering more right away and they shouldn't take long.

For those of you who don't know.
I've been chasing a non starting issue for the last 9 months.
It's been a real pain in the ass and expensive too. But i've finally narrowed it down to the carbs.

Did they need replacement, rebuilding, cleaning, or what?

I'm not sure exactly what they need. I haven't pulled them yet.
The only way to get the bike started when cold is to drain the float bowls and air out the cylinders.

I'm guessing you've got some sort of jet kit in the carbs, and I'll bet the needles are too high.  Dynojet tapers are famous for this, but the last one I worked on with a similar problem had a Factory kit.  Raise the clip to the highest position, thus dropping the needle all the way, and give that a try.  Those Mikuni BSD carbs are also famous for wearing out the needle jets pretty quickly, so investing in a new set of those might be a good idea while you're in there.  Go to www.factorypro.com, then tech, then motorcycle tech, then scroll down to "Float Height, Ducati with CV carbs".... follow the instructions.

Talk about hitting the nail on the head! Shocked
Last winter while i had it apart i paid a guy to install a Factory jet kit.
I don't know anything about what jets he used or settings. But when i put it back together it seemed perfect. Then 400 miles later it started acting up. 600 miles later it died and hasn't been worth a shit since.

 Well, she's officially fixed. Smiley
I yanked the bowls yesterday and found the problem right away.
The float pivot pin on the right carb had fallen out of the bracket. The floats were just dangling at an angle. I put it back from the opposite side. Now she starts and runs like new money.
