Damn, I know you need to show off the dry clutch, SSS and all, but do you have to place it so that it has to stare into the corner all winter?

I realize you guys probably cover this every year but since I am somewhat new here I am posting this question again.
What are your thoughts on winterizing your bikes? Perhaps it is too early to ask this question (still hoping for few rides here and there) but the snow that came down few days back kind of made me realize I need to start thinking about this.....
Your thoughts will be appreciated. Thanks

In the past 7 years I have just put the bike on stands and added fuel stabilizer. Thinking about adding a battery tender this year.

It's not time yet. Took a 100 mile scoot today. Probably because I just bought my new bike not ready to just see it sit.

How about tires? Few people suggested to make sure the bike does not sit on concrete the whole winter, instead, one should put either wood or cardboard under the tires? How much truth is there to this? Really necessary?

Yes you want your tires off the freezing garage floor.  I use a front and rear stand.

As far as tires go, I make sure they are properly inflated, park on the centerstand and block the front wheel up off the floor. for the bikes that doen't have a centerstand I move them around once a month or so.

I have always used a battery tender and started the bike/ride a couple of times a month and bring it up to temp if the weather allows.  I just make sure if you do not have stands to move the bike around the garage so the tires do not sit on the same patch for several months.  I have always thought about it like flat spots on trailer tires if they sit to long.
