Well it was justified. It was the last AMA race for the Ducati Factory team in 2006, and the Suzuki team wanted to boycot the race. I was hanging out in the pits with the team and Bryan. So Beth and I wanted to start some shit with the Suzuki riders . Better judgement prevaled and we had a race!

I would throw down with a Boz Bros. at my back..  I mean if it was justified!

Did I ever tell you guys when Ben Bostrom and I almost started a fist fight with the Suzuki riders @ MidOhio..

Was thinking the same thing on both counts, Scout. I am a VR fanboy to the core but one race don't mean the boss is back. And Dovi and Cal brawling would be AWESOME!

I bet sometime this year Dovi and Crutchlow get into a fight!  I love watching those two race.

i guess we will have to start wishing for rain on race days. She sure looks good in the rain ( Rossi did too ). Hopefully this is beginning of a good relationship.

Sad news. Jeff Manley, South Bend Hooligan, and regular at Moser's on Thursday nights in New Carlisle is in the hospital. He fell approximately 30 feet from a lader, fracturing his scull, also breaking both his arms. He is in intensive care at Memorial Hospital, South Bend. It does not look good for our dear friend. According to the doctors he has no function in the left side of his brain. He has sufferred multiple strokes, and without devine intervention, will soon be in a vegatative state. They gave him a couple of days to live. I told him we all loved him, God speed Jeff Manley.

Myself, I don't believe I had a chance to meet him yet but none the less, prayers have been sent. Prayer is a powerful tool, please use it.

I did not know him long or very well but he was always kind and friendly. He made sure to say hi every time I saw him. We seemed to cross paths just about every time I headed up to Grand Rapids. Nobody deserves this but you certainly have a hard time understanding why it happens to such a kind soul. This reminds me why you should live life to the fullest and remind those around you each day how much you love them.

No specific time yet, but it looks like both the viewing and the funeral will be this Saturday at the Palmer Funeral Home-Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Rd in South Bend. Will let you know more as soon as I know.

I am going to ask a stupid question. I never ride not geared up and it is a funeral. Not having done this before I don't know how to dress, be protected and be respectful. What do you suggest?

I'm truly sadden by Jeff's passing. After my first conversation with him @ Jordan Powersports, I knew I had met a genuinely kind person. My thoughts are with him, and his family.
Though he is not here with us in the physical sense, his spirit will remain in the hearts of all that knew him. I would like to believe that he is now somewhere having the best ride he has ever had.

Thanks so much to all who came to Jeff's funeral today. 26 motorcycles, and scores of people who loved him. The BMW and Ducati clubs sent him out with style. Thanks again!
