Well it was justified. It was the last AMA race for the Ducati Factory team in 2006, and the Suzuki team wanted to boycot the race. I was hanging out in the pits with the team and Bryan. So Beth and I wanted to start some shit with the Suzuki riders . Better judgement prevaled and we had a race!

I would throw down with a Boz Bros. at my back..  I mean if it was justified!

Did I ever tell you guys when Ben Bostrom and I almost started a fist fight with the Suzuki riders @ MidOhio..

Was thinking the same thing on both counts, Scout. I am a VR fanboy to the core but one race don't mean the boss is back. And Dovi and Cal brawling would be AWESOME!

I bet sometime this year Dovi and Crutchlow get into a fight!  I love watching those two race.

i guess we will have to start wishing for rain on race days. She sure looks good in the rain ( Rossi did too ). Hopefully this is beginning of a good relationship.

Did Rossi cause a earthquake in Italy?

I have for the past 14 years ridden bicycles on the road.  I have had my issues with motorists trying to hit me, run me off the road, and a few actually making contact.  In the end I carried a small knife in case I need to defend myself.  Luckily I have never had to.

The other day I was riding the monster, stopped at a light and some jackwagon pulle dup nexct to me and began to berate me for not buying American.  I just laughed at him and this set him off even more.  He got beligerant and embarassed himself by trying to egg me into a fight.  Now I most likely had 50 pounds on him and I just flipped him the bird and continued on my way when the light turned green.

I have no desire to fight with anyone, but I have a terrible time backing down from conflict. So my questionis, do any of you carry anything with you when you ride?

I know several of you are law inforcement and as  teacher I have a great relationship with Fishers Police.  I have had so many of their kids from the Chief on down.  I am just curious if it is common practice to have something on you whilst riding.

Cheers

Towards the end of the season I started carrying my Ruger LC9 in an ankle holster inside one of my alpinestar riding boots.

But its more for the country folk around here as we have a ridiculous problem with meth in the country here and I would rather not be unarmed if I get confronted by myself by a bunch of deadbeat meth heads.

I have never had to take it out of its holster but it is a great peace of mind object to know its there if I needed it. But then I also carry a Kimber ProCarry II on the day to day.

I have had problems just like others over the years.  My $.02 is always keep your riding gear on and make sure your gloves are reinforced at the knuckles!

I've always used my quick wit.... most people show up to a battle of wits unarmed so it's easy to outgun them

Great. Now I can get the idea out of my head of two people running around with helmets on trying to knock each other out.

Sounds exhausting if you ask me.

Best thing to do is to ride/walk away, then if you must defend yourself do whatever it's necessary.

What Mother said... and flipping off cages is a good way to get run over... Just sayin Grin

I usually carry when I'm riding (especially stealth camping), just because it's better to have and not need, than the other way around.  Can't imagine firing while riding though, ya know, cowboy-style!

Yee Haw!!! My local range has an old western ally they used for old west shoot days. I should ask if they mind me riding up the middle of it practicing some.

Yes... Yee Haw indeed!

On a more serious note that does sounds like fun now that I think of it.
