Well it was justified. It was the last AMA race for the Ducati Factory team in 2006, and the Suzuki team wanted to boycot the race. I was hanging out in the pits with the team and Bryan. So Beth and I wanted to start some shit with the Suzuki riders . Better judgement prevaled and we had a race!

I would throw down with a Boz Bros. at my back..  I mean if it was justified!

Did I ever tell you guys when Ben Bostrom and I almost started a fist fight with the Suzuki riders @ MidOhio..

Was thinking the same thing on both counts, Scout. I am a VR fanboy to the core but one race don't mean the boss is back. And Dovi and Cal brawling would be AWESOME!

I bet sometime this year Dovi and Crutchlow get into a fight!  I love watching those two race.

i guess we will have to start wishing for rain on race days. She sure looks good in the rain ( Rossi did too ). Hopefully this is beginning of a good relationship.

Hey man,
I am suggesting that you take the mirrors, lights and plates off of whatever she gets, so that she can only ride it on the track until she displays proficiency.  Perhaps some performance riding schools following the MSF course.  The MSF course is a must, but I can attest from first hand knowledge that it doesn't make you immune from dropping a bike.  Explain the squid mentality to her and that a Hayabusa is the real nautilus of squid bikes, only useful at a drag strip and butt ugly.  Ninja 250 for one season and just let her stay in front of you all of the time.
Not a bad idea.. my buddy Gustavo bought a Hayabusa in 2005 after being bikeless for 20 years. He knows how to control dirt bikes etc. but he is still having difficulty man handling the beast that is the Hayabusa. I´ve ridden in a couple of times and yeah it´s fun for about 30mins. After that I want a small, light, flickable bike with less power.

Get your gf on a track and then get someone with a smaller, less poweful bike to run rings around her. She´ll either see the light and understand your concern or she´ll flip and go ape on the track possibly risking life and limb.. if it´s case number 2 you´ve got a long, uphill battle ahead man.

One good thing about the "busa" is that any fool can ride it. It is a very rider friendly bike. The power is very easy to handle in town. The hardest thing about riding that bike is getting it to turn. It is a freaking whale!

I really dislike that bike, but it might not be as bad as you think if she has self control and can keep her inputs on the throttle reasonable and smooth.

Don't get me wrong though - it think it is  a horrible first bike - or second, third, etc... for that matter. lol.

Get her to purchase one of these instead:

And put it on a MONSTER 620, now there is an idea.

Of course you still have to donkey punch that guy...

I got nothing against Suzuki.

But I never wanted a Hayabusa.

Maybe a DRZ400. Smiley
