Well it was justified. It was the last AMA race for the Ducati Factory team in 2006, and the Suzuki team wanted to boycot the race. I was hanging out in the pits with the team and Bryan. So Beth and I wanted to start some shit with the Suzuki riders . Better judgement prevaled and we had a race!

Was thinking the same thing on both counts, Scout. I am a VR fanboy to the core but one race don't mean the boss is back. And Dovi and Cal brawling would be AWESOME!

i guess we will have to start wishing for rain on race days. She sure looks good in the rain ( Rossi did too ). Hopefully this is beginning of a good relationship.

NICKY HAYDEN 1198SP FOR SALE!
On Friday, August 5th, Ducati Indianapolis was honored to be asked to provide the support for Ducati MotoGP star Nicky Hayden as he rode the first motorcycle around the new surface at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Ducati shipped in a new bike for the test and our team went right to work getting it prepared. The 1198SP is an incredible base to start from, it's no wonder this bike was selected for this use. Out of the crate the 1198SP has an Ohlins suspension, traction control, slipper clutch, quick shifter, and 170 plus horsepower.
Master Certified Tech with both Ducati and Ohlins, Matt Carr oversaw the effort but it was really a great push from the entire Ducati Indianapolis staff. Some mild suspension adjustments, a specific tire selection shipped in directly from Pirelli and a few personal adjustments saw the bike ready for action. When Nicky first arrived, he sat on the bike and only minor adjustments needed to be made; now it's time to fly…



 
From the first time on the track, Hayden was comfortable on the bike, settling to a pretty quick pace. The test went on for a few hours and bike ran flawlessly and received some great compliments from the rider. A special event that Ducati Indianapolis was glad to help pull off. NOW is your chance to own a part of Ducati MotoGP history and an incredible collectors bike. The bike comes stickered up with Nicky's #69 and his shield. We can even leave the tires on the bike that Nicky scrubbed in on the IMS MotoGP Circuit. This bike will look good on the street or in a private collection. The purchaser will also get a DVD with footage of the event. The bike will be on sale through MotoGP week and will go to the highest bidder.
