Black monster, leather jacket, and full face helmet... I could see how it would be mistakable. Now if I was mistaken for him walking down the road then there would be fighting words! haha

Good Morning All,
Troy here currently living in South Bend, IN.
MotoGP sent me the link to the group...thanks!
I'm a semi-retired enduro racer looking for folks to ride with...road, dirt, whatever.
I just love to ride.
Garage currently contains:
2004 Multistrada
2005 KTM 250 exc
2005 KDX 200
1980 SWM RS250GS
I just picked up the Duc from a guy in DC and rode back over the 4th. Unfortunately, I had a bit of an off-road excursion (unplanned)...so anyone with some LH plastic bits for a Shiny Black Multi drop me a note. Awesome machine btw.
Bikes I've had in the past (in ascending order):
1978 Suzuki DS80
1981 Yamaha YZ80
1979 Yamaha DT125
1985 Yamaha IT200
1979 Honda CB750
1986 Yamaha FZ600
1979 Honda CX500
1992 KTM 250exc
1993 Yamaha FZR600
1995 KTM 300mxc
1998 KTM 380exc
1999 KTM 300exc
1994 Yamaha FRZ1000
2000 KTM 125exc
2000 KTM 250exc
2001 KTM 300exc x2
2002 TM 300MX
2003 Buell xb9r
2003 KTM 450mxc
I used to teach enduro school but now just spend my time showing my soon-to-be 4yo son the basics of balance, braking, and throttle control.
Living with my family on the south side...working in Benton Harbor.
Looking forward to meeting some of the other group memebers.
Ciao,

Hi, I'm Ron from Bremen IN. I've been a big fan of Ducati for a long time. I hope to have one some day, probably a Monster. Right now I ride an 04 Aprilia RSVR.
I found out about this web sight when I saw two Ducati's parked in front of Hooples in Bremen. Now, I've never seen any other Italian bikes in Bremen, let alone two parked down town (I should probably mention the Harley that was with them to keep every one happy). I found the guys and they told me about this sight. Of course we talked bikes until it was passed our bed times and they had to head north. I'm looking forward to being on this forum.

Welcome to our little twisted corner, Troy. (Awesome name, BTW
) Sounds like you and I have a few more things in common: a Multi, KTMs, enduro racing, etc. The last time I was on a dirt bike was last fall's Turkey Creek Enduro. Since then I sold my 200exc and am searching for a nice 400, but haven't yet stepped up to the pump for one. I want to at least do the Stoney Lonesome Buffaloe 500 this fall, and wouldn't mind hitting a few others, maybe Wellston, which is a lot of fun.
I spend a fair bit of time throwing the Multi around dirt roads and two track, and a few friends with ginormous dual sports and I try to hit the roads around south Michigan as often as we can.
Try
www.multistrada.net
for parts, and the forum there is a pretty good too. Or, do like a few others have done and strip the bike down and do a HyperMulti conversion?
Look forward to meeting you at Moser's

Join us for dinner one evening in New Carlisle. I'd sure love to check out your bike. We usually have quite a few Ducs there so you can get all the looking done that you want, but there are other makes as well - hell, your Aprilia would fit in better than some of the others but every one is still welcome

Troy,
Ditto on the name...although I had little to do with it...
Turkey Creek...Stoney...Hellston...you are speakin' my language man...i'm heading up this w/e to ride the Pine Cone with my son on Satruday and try the Jack Pine on Sunday...last time I rode the Jack Pine was in 2001...broke my hand clean off my wrist...told my dad it was only a sprain and gassed him up twice before driving myself to the hospital...wish me luck...
I'm up for riding anytime...i've some bros in rochester that have a place and might be able to get us into rider mc club ground (if i re-new my membership)...otherwise...MCCCT is always good...
Multistrada.net is coming through...i've most of the parts located that I be needing...trying to finalize things up with Hall's in Springfield this afternoon...
so...dual sportin' the Duc...do tell...I'm sure it would be a sight to behold...leg up...pitched with a rooster out the back...sounds like fun...which direction to sign up?

Phil, from South Bend. Friend and co-worker of Mario and Mike. I ride a 2006 Harley Davidson Streetglide. I am a former sportbike rider. I have always loved Ducs but have never rode one (I did ride Mario's). I have rode motorcycles since I was a kid. I like all kinds of motorcycles my favorite is my Harley. Thanks for inviting me to your board. I will post pics later.

Hey guys/gals,
Hello to all. I'm down in Louisville, Kentucky (close enough to Indiana isn't it?). Riding a M695 and still can't wipe the stupid grin off. I have about 4,000 miles on it now. Ride just about every day to work on it, rain, shine, snow, etc. Have only filled up the tank on the car five times this year. Normally, I get out for a few hundred miles on the weekends too. Longest stretch so far was a ride down to Deals Gap (320 miles from here). I'm planning on a slightly shorter trip, perhaps twice, in the next month up to Mid-Ohio. I'm sure this is where I will meet a few of you guys.
I'm 48 years old and work as a designer for a local engineering firm (full on 3D CADD stuff). This is a second career as my primary training was in metal sculpture production and restoration and also photography in the military. I then taught scuba diving and was an avid cave diver, then on to a stint with a land surveyor, where I began to pick up the CADD skills. I like to travel and have lived and worked in many places here and overseas and in my wanderings have published two books (one on Kyoto, Japan, the other on Cambodia). Spent a bunch of time in India, learned to speak in Hindi and had a surbahar built (a surbahar is like a bass version of the sitar). My son is a chassis sub-assembly guy for Dyson Racing (LeMans P2 cars) and a Ducati wannabe, he came very close to owning a 1098 until he got the insurance quotes (but his driving record is less-than-perfect).
Bikes? I love 'em and fell in love with the Ducatis back when I was in the service in 1977 and saw my first Duc, a 900 SS (I have that 1977 magazine article that sealed my fate). I was riding a KZ1000 back then but gave it up after school and moving to New York to learn the sculpture thing. the 900 SS never lost it's appeal to me and one of these days I will find one. I thought I should work my way into Ducati life with a new model though and started with a 695. It really is all the bike I really need. But then do any of us ride what we
need
, but what we want? I might step it up a notch to an S2R sometime before doing a vintage bike...will just see how it unfolds. I'd like to do some classes on performance riding and some track days, but with just getting my wife immigrated here (she's from Thailand), I have to give the impression that she is my only love (I'm sure you D'isti understand what I mean).
Anyway, the cell number is 502.418.5459, if you are in Louisville, give a call...if you are on your bike, we'll go for a ride...if you are in your cage, we'll go for a beer.
