Black monster, leather jacket, and full face helmet... I could see how it would be mistakable. Now if I was mistaken for him walking down the road then there would be fighting words! haha

Cool, thanks. I'll check out where Granger is compared to me. (I'm in Miller which I found out turns out to be a fancy beach way to say Gary without actually claiming Gary). I do know Valpo is close. So I'd like to catch up with those folks.

He hasn't twisted the right grip too much since he lost his tent poles on the Elkhart Lake trip a couple of years ago....

First Post..just joined. My name is Beau and I just picked up a 2010 1198 last week to keep my 2004 FZ1 company. I'm in the West Lafayette area and I'm always looking for new riding friends to expand my horizons if anyone is in the area too.

Welcome Beau. The club is planning a ride down your way at the end of May. http://www.hoosierhooligans.org/forum/general-forum/the-knickerbocker-duc-run/

Welcome Beau.  Of course when I get ready to move away someone else from West Lafayette joins.  I would say we should meet up and ride but I took my bike to my grandfathers house to store until I move to Evansville in a week.  If you are going to be around Lafayette the end of May quite a few of us will be in town to ride and have a good time.

Hehe...that's how it always works right. I imagine I'll be here most of May. Might make a trip or two down to Indy for 500 qualifying/carb day events. I've been reading up on the Knickerbocker Run in the events forum and I may have to skip pole day to meet up with all of the people coming into town for it. Sounds like a good time. Plus, this is my first Ducati and I'm eager to discuss items with people that have more experience with them.  It's a different animal than what I'm use to for sure

DOh. I'm not too fast. But I'd love to ride and at least try to keep up. Or, at least meet you at a stopping point up the road.

Beau you should definitely try to meet up with us for the Knickerbocker Run.  It will be a good time for sure.  If you want to meet up with someone else local try to pm cmkiel.  Chad is the only other member I know of in West Lafayette.  He might be hard to get ahold of until after finals but he has a 08 1098s and can probably answer some of your questions.

I'm in North Carolina for work at the moment but I'll be back in a week and will be ready to get some riding in

What a great site!  I'm Jerry.  My wife (Deb) and I live in Westfield.  I bought my first Duc in July of 09, a M1100S.  I absolutely love everything about the bike.  I haven't done any mods yet but bought the showroom custom Ducati Indy had on the floor (the one with the Brickyard custom paint).  I opted for the OEM tank cover and cowl (red) because I didn't want to pay the price for the custom paint.

My wife and I love to ride.  She has a 1976 KH100 (her dad bought new for her) and an 06 1200 Custom Sporster.  I ride the Monster and occasionally ride an 08 FLHT.  I will post some pics when I get some good ones to post.  We have been riding since we were kids.  I grew up on dirt bikes like Elsinores and such.  Most of the bikes I have owned have been Harley, some of them when AMF owned 'em.  We don't get much of a chance to do any touring but love to do day rides.

We look forward to meeting new friends and getting together for some rides.

Thanks for keeping this site and all the work that goes into maintaining it.

Jerry
