Well it was justified. It was the last AMA race for the Ducati Factory team in 2006, and the Suzuki team wanted to boycot the race. I was hanging out in the pits with the team and Bryan. So Beth and I wanted to start some shit with the Suzuki riders . Better judgement prevaled and we had a race!

Did I ever tell you guys when Ben Bostrom and I almost started a fist fight with the Suzuki riders @ MidOhio..

Was thinking the same thing on both counts, Scout. I am a VR fanboy to the core but one race don't mean the boss is back. And Dovi and Cal brawling would be AWESOME!

I bet sometime this year Dovi and Crutchlow get into a fight!  I love watching those two race.

i guess we will have to start wishing for rain on race days. She sure looks good in the rain ( Rossi did too ). Hopefully this is beginning of a good relationship.

Rumor has it that all downtown rooms are filling up fast due to Gen-Con <<<link coinciding the same weekend  (Aug 16-19). So if your planning on staying anywhere close to downtown you better get your rooms booked now.

If anyone successfully books a room downtown, please post up in this thread where and what Hotel have rooms available. Also Let us know where the hotels are that are booked up, to save some Hooligans some time in their search.

TIA

I think the Drury should always be our preferred hotel regardless or not if Miss Vickie names it "Ducati Central", but some Hooligans sometimes opt to stay downtown.

+1 they took good care of us there.  I don't care where Vicki designates "Ducati Central."  The Drury deserves to be the "Hooligan Central Hotel."

I really like the Hilton on 6930 Intech Blvd.  It's close to everything but with less traffic than downtown.
Great cooked to order breakfast as well

Hiltons do a great job... one of my favorite places to stay!  The best part of MotoGP for me is socializing with other Hooligans though so I'd recommend staying somewhere that is with the rest of the group.  Being close to everyone makes for a great weekend!

Looking forward to this.  Wont be in the hotel(s) as I live in Fishers so close enough to the track as well as Indy Ducati.  Looking forward to meeting some fellow Hooligans though.

MD20/20, definitely check out Indy Ducati. The Indy Mile, which is the flat track race on friday or saturday night at the state fair grounds is supposed to very cool. Also "motorcycles on meridian", which is downtown on friday and saturday nights is always a worthwhile spectacle. On Monday, a trackday usually follows the racing events at IMS but is held at Putnam raceway about an hour west of Indianapolis.
I can't remember if you said you are riding but if you are, about an hour south of Indy there are some pretty nice roads in and around Brown County State Park and Bloomington.
Dave, it will be great to meet you too. Hopefully more events throughout the spring and summer will allow us all to meet up much sooner. Stay tuned
