Well it was justified. It was the last AMA race for the Ducati Factory team in 2006, and the Suzuki team wanted to boycot the race. I was hanging out in the pits with the team and Bryan. So Beth and I wanted to start some shit with the Suzuki riders . Better judgement prevaled and we had a race!

Did I ever tell you guys when Ben Bostrom and I almost started a fist fight with the Suzuki riders @ MidOhio..

Was thinking the same thing on both counts, Scout. I am a VR fanboy to the core but one race don't mean the boss is back. And Dovi and Cal brawling would be AWESOME!

I bet sometime this year Dovi and Crutchlow get into a fight!  I love watching those two race.

i guess we will have to start wishing for rain on race days. She sure looks good in the rain ( Rossi did too ). Hopefully this is beginning of a good relationship.

I have an idea for an "intelligent" key fob.  It would be a bright color (red/orange) and contain you medical info (allergies/blood type) and emergency contact info.
I have looked at several that stitch or velco to protective gear, but what happens during season changes (like today) when you switch to alternate gear.  On your key ring, it is with you whenever your on the bike.  One thing that is important is that it be bright and clearly labled as "first responder info inside" and then, of course, the hoo hoo logo.
Feedback anyone?

I'm out the door now to meet up with a bunch of guys from Kentucky Sportbike Club.  Taking the twisties over to Owensboro for a little Moonlight BBQ.  Off to Atlanta tomorrow for some Revit software training.  Have a great weekend.

Cool idea. As long as the fob isn't too big or obtrusive, I'd be up for one.

Not a bad idea at all. Maybe something like a tube or such to keep info like that in.

You know I have always liked this idea. Tying it witha Hoo-Hoo logo makes it so much better. I think that Mario wears a wrist band that has first responder info, if we could get something like that it would address all of the gear issues.
Very cool!

Do like I did - I've got all my info tattooed on my body

This is an awesome idea - I had one of those plastic envelopes that adheres to your helmet from Aerostich.  It included a sheet of waterproof paper with lines for medical info and emergency contact stuff.  I'd love to see something with the club logo so long as it is still instantly identifiable as medical info.  I'm not sure how I feel about a key fob being that I expect to potentially be a long distance from the bike in a serious crash.  I don't know that people will go running to the bike to look for info - I think something on the helmet is the best solution since it's not covered like gear like Mario's bracelet or my tattoo and it would hopefully stay on in the crash.

Maybe a club patch sort of thing could be made that had emergency info stored inside it some how - we could provide several round velcro backings that you could sew to each jacket, then have a red and white HooHoo logo with big "remove for emergency info" on it and somehow store the medical info on the back of the patch or in a pouch behind it?

Back from the ride.  At least four of us made it back unscathed.  One guy had to ride bitch and we had to leave his totaled FZ1 behind.  Great twisty roads though.  Nice to get out for a few hundred miles.

Yes, he's okay (proof of "wear your gear"), but that bike is totally destroyed.  I think he freaked on a turn and locked a brake or something.  We were getting giggy with it through some Ohio River bottom land.

Back on topic, I think using a helmet or jacket mounted medical info device is good but the wrist band or tattoo would be good as well. If they don't see the first one they might find the second one when they unwrap ya.

This is what I have on the back of my helmet. I'm sure Bryan has something similliar if not identical. I didnt get mine through these guys though. DucsUnlimited was giving them out to the card carrying members of its club. http://www.whitehorsepress.com/product_info.php?products_id=3713

If this is what we decide on, I'll give Kevin Dornton a call to find out where they sourced theirs and price as well.

Ah, I forgot, I have my blood type on the back of my helmet as well. I just used a label maker and made a big tag that says "blood type - A POS"

i have for years been putting the emergency Info on the back of my helmet. This is something that we did when racing in SCCA races. I also found this to be very helpfull when my co-drive was a little late on his navigating Q's and we parked the car on it's lid after taking the fast way down a 20' cliff. " I zigged when I should have zagged ". That turned into one very expensive taxi ride that I did not even get to enjoy because I did not wake up until I was all bandaged up and had my left arm in a cast. BTW a good tip: when rolling your car try to keep you arms inside the ride at all times. Any way I was lucky and stayed with my ride as Bryan pointed out there is a better than not chance that you may not be near your keys when the medics arrive. Also many of us have multiple bikes but use only one helmet. I also only like to have my key for the bike that i am riding on that key ring so that I do not have my house, car, work, etc, keys bouncing around. this would require me to by multiple key fobs. I would however be interested an HH helmet emergency info pouch and also a regular HH Key chain if it were a rubber keychain so as not to scratch my tank.
