Well it was justified. It was the last AMA race for the Ducati Factory team in 2006, and the Suzuki team wanted to boycot the race. I was hanging out in the pits with the team and Bryan. So Beth and I wanted to start some shit with the Suzuki riders . Better judgement prevaled and we had a race!

I would throw down with a Boz Bros. at my back..  I mean if it was justified!

Did I ever tell you guys when Ben Bostrom and I almost started a fist fight with the Suzuki riders @ MidOhio..

Was thinking the same thing on both counts, Scout. I am a VR fanboy to the core but one race don't mean the boss is back. And Dovi and Cal brawling would be AWESOME!

I bet sometime this year Dovi and Crutchlow get into a fight!  I love watching those two race.

Before everyone goes out and buys VR46 everything, just remember last year at Le Mans.......

i guess we will have to start wishing for rain on race days. She sure looks good in the rain ( Rossi did too ). Hopefully this is beginning of a good relationship.

Get shop manual first and foremost. Pull out the spark plugs and put some oil in the cylinders. I prefer plain ol'e 10/30 or ATF and use the kick starter to slowly turn the engine over spread it around repeat dayly, after a week give it another shot of oil. Sometimes I'll also open up the yalve covers an oil the rockers to. It can't hurt and you'l need to adjust the valves anyway so might as well do it. Change the oil and filter then turn your attention to the carbs. Get new gaskets and o rings to. when you clean the carbs make extra sure the accelerator pumps are sanitized they are'nt complicated but do have tiny orfices and if the pumps do'nt work you'll feel it the first time you yank the throttle open. And please air only on opening wires throw up burrs that really screw up fuel/air flow. Keep us filled in on your progress.

I had an old YZ250 that had one of those...they're not alot of fun.  After kicking repeatedly, you can see why they invented electric starts.

YZ 250s have step starters, its only a 250. Properly done with a black leather jacket, and a 3/4 or full face helmet a manly swing on the kick start will have the wimenz swooning for miles around bitches!!!!!

It must have been the lack of a black leather jacket that screwed things up.  Normally we were wearing oily, sweat soaked t-shirts and a couple of cold ones.   Repeated attempts to start normally brought about bloody shins and many four letter words.   Can't imagine why I sold it.
