Well it was justified. It was the last AMA race for the Ducati Factory team in 2006, and the Suzuki team wanted to boycot the race. I was hanging out in the pits with the team and Bryan. So Beth and I wanted to start some shit with the Suzuki riders . Better judgement prevaled and we had a race!

I would throw down with a Boz Bros. at my back..  I mean if it was justified!

Did I ever tell you guys when Ben Bostrom and I almost started a fist fight with the Suzuki riders @ MidOhio..

Was thinking the same thing on both counts, Scout. I am a VR fanboy to the core but one race don't mean the boss is back. And Dovi and Cal brawling would be AWESOME!

I bet sometime this year Dovi and Crutchlow get into a fight!  I love watching those two race.

i guess we will have to start wishing for rain on race days. She sure looks good in the rain ( Rossi did too ). Hopefully this is beginning of a good relationship.

So, I am sitting at this stop sign and a car in front of me (am second in line) pulls away very slowly and keeps its slow speed through out the intersection and even after. I think this lady was going like 10mph. After I get through the intersection as well, i simply pass her (still way below the speed limit since she was really going about 10mph) and I take off. It is at the edge of a small town, and I know right past the village sign is a nice left turn and since the road is decent I open it up and go. Yes, at that point I was speeding, but not that much. Maybe 70 in 55. I go through the corner, mind my own business, do not really care that much whats behind me and just keep going. After about 2 mins I get a cop on my ass. So I stop and immediately give him my license and all the other documents. Me being a polite person, I tell him I apologize for hitting the corner little faster but since the road is so nice I could not resist. He looks at me and says: that is not why I pulled you over. Now I am pretty puzzled so I again politely ask why he pulled me over and he said that back at that stop sign, there was a double yellow where I passed that lady. I did not want to argue with him about the fact that the paint is so washed away no one can really see there is a double yellow so he just wrote me a ticket for that (I was glad it was not for the speeding) and went my way. I rode around for another 45 min and on my way back I stopped to see if the double yellow is really washed out that badly. Sure enough, the same cop is there, sitting in his car watching the traffic around. So I get off my bike, pulled out my iphone and took a picture of the road. He sees me and comes by and says: So, what do you think? You see that double yellow there and there, pointing before the stop sign and way pass the stop sign, but where I actually passed that slow car it is really really washed off and you just can not see it. So I point that out, the officer looks at me and says: you know what, just give me that ticket back! I looked at him and asked if he was serious and he says it again. So I handed him back  the ticket, thanked him for being so kind and took off. He even gave me a smile. Nice guy.

I was under the impression that once and office writes a ticket there is nothing that can be done about it other than pleading your case in court. I thought all numbers on the ticket pad had to be account for or something along those lines.

Am I mistaken? Mario?

If its an electronic ticket yes.  Old school tickets the officer has total discretion.
