Well it was justified. It was the last AMA race for the Ducati Factory team in 2006, and the Suzuki team wanted to boycot the race. I was hanging out in the pits with the team and Bryan. So Beth and I wanted to start some shit with the Suzuki riders . Better judgement prevaled and we had a race!

I would throw down with a Boz Bros. at my back..  I mean if it was justified!

Did I ever tell you guys when Ben Bostrom and I almost started a fist fight with the Suzuki riders @ MidOhio..

Was thinking the same thing on both counts, Scout. I am a VR fanboy to the core but one race don't mean the boss is back. And Dovi and Cal brawling would be AWESOME!

I bet sometime this year Dovi and Crutchlow get into a fight!  I love watching those two race.

i guess we will have to start wishing for rain on race days. She sure looks good in the rain ( Rossi did too ). Hopefully this is beginning of a good relationship.

We should set this up with a chase bike with a camcorder so we can video Al running from the cops on his Superbike. I do hope you planned on using the 998. Some of those other bikes don't look as quick Smiley

Well mine is a 1954 Comet 500cc their good for about 80. The v-twin models like the Rapide and Black Lightning were the ones that could break 150 and that was in 1948. Here is a little text you may find interesting. Check out some of the innovations that we take for granted now. Another note is look at the Velocette's during the time Phil Irving was with them and you will see similarities both in excellent mechanical engineering and works of art. Much like Tamborini with Ducati 916, MV's F4 and the early Bimota line.  I love this stuff.

An engineer by the name of Phil Irving joined Vincent as chief engineer in 1931. The first Vincent HRD twin, given the name Rapide, was introduced in October 1936. It incorporated motorcycling's first fully suspended rear frame. Utilizing a triangular rear frame with springing under the seat, this feature was used on all Vincents produced from 1936 through 1955. In addition, Vincents bristled with innovations such as foot shift, 4-speed gearboxes and side stands. The 998cc, air-cooled V-Twin produced 45hp and achieved a top speed of 110 miles per hour. The Series A Rapide sold for around $600 and was the inspiration for the post-war big-twins. In its time, it had no peers. Phil Irving departed Vincent to work at Velocette in 1937, only to return to Vincent in 1943 to start plans for the Series A successor.

No they did not show up Thursday but I guess they have a Tuesday gathering in Valpo at the airport. Kevin and I are going to try and make it out one of the coming weeks, maybe you should go with us. The Norton was a 750 Commando. There were however a couple new guys there and one really sweet Triumph.
