Well it was justified. It was the last AMA race for the Ducati Factory team in 2006, and the Suzuki team wanted to boycot the race. I was hanging out in the pits with the team and Bryan. So Beth and I wanted to start some shit with the Suzuki riders . Better judgement prevaled and we had a race!

I would throw down with a Boz Bros. at my back..  I mean if it was justified!

Did I ever tell you guys when Ben Bostrom and I almost started a fist fight with the Suzuki riders @ MidOhio..

Was thinking the same thing on both counts, Scout. I am a VR fanboy to the core but one race don't mean the boss is back. And Dovi and Cal brawling would be AWESOME!
I bet sometime this year Dovi and Crutchlow get into a fight!  I love watching those two race.

i guess we will have to start wishing for rain on race days. She sure looks good in the rain ( Rossi did too ). Hopefully this is beginning of a good relationship.

Hey who all is planning on going to see the MX strunt show in Broad Ripple on Thursday night. I live in the BR area and am going to walk to the village for the show. And if a drink happens to fall down my gullet well than C'est la vie.

Any guess on what time that will take place?  I was thinking of riding up Indy Ducati after work for their open house and then down to BR for the stunt show if it was still going on.

starts @ 8 on BR ave. Between Guilford and Collage. Lots of bars on the north and south side of the street with garage door style windows. If you get there early enough you can get a good seat at one. OPT's and Average joes are intje middle and will most likely be the best bars to watch from. Also Chumley's and the BR Tavern are at the ends and could be good for take off and landings. I will scope it out and they to pick one for the Hoo Hoo's to meet

Update on the Thursday Night event I mentioned above-

Red Bull TNT Motocross
8PM - 12AM
Thursday, 9/11/08
Broad Ripple Avenue & College Avenue

For those of you not familiar with Indy, the Broad Ripple Arts District is one of the City's premier dining and nightlife areas - there are probably forty bars and eateries within walking distance, including some of Indy's better locally-owned restaurants.  Red Bull has arranged to have the City block off the main strip so they can put on three MX stunt shows in the evening.

The owner of the bar I work at - Mineshaft Saloon - has informed me that he's providing the Red Bull promo team with storefront space to serve as their event headquarters.  His understanding is that they will have one of the GP bikes on site, and may possibly be having a meet & greet with Nicky Hayden.  Our other bar - Rock Lobster - is supposed to be hosting the Red Bull VIP party, which is actually open to the public (kinda defeats the "VIP" premise...), and offering a pretty killer deal on Skyy Vodka & Red Bull.

For those of you riding in, monitored pay lots are available in a couple locations right off the strip - so someone can keep an eye on the bike while you're walking around.  Broad Ripple is about ten or fifteen minutes from just about any of the major hotel areas (Downtown, Keystone at the Crossing, Castleton, 465 & Michigan).

Apologies for the extended commercial, but it's not very often that the City shuts down Broad Ripple Ave for a street festival or event.  Every time they do it's a pretty big party, so I thought I'd share the FYI.

chumleys is the sportiest sports bar there it is accross from jimmy johns and cardinal fitness. I will most likely be there or at average joes just west of there. Me and a few friends are having dinner at Binkley's on the corner of kessler and collage at 6. Just three blocks south of BR ave. Fell free to join in for a drink or two.

Grifo's a quote-swipin' mofo...  ;-)

Dunno why I didn't think to post that here instead of just at the DMF.... brainfart.

Those of you that made it out to this already know it was a heck of an event.  For those that passed, it was a solid stunt show with plenty of Broad Ripple's famous eye-candy on display.  And when you weren't gaping at college-age chicks, there were plenty of sweet machines to gawk at as well.

I'll be tending bar a the Mineshaft on both Friday and Saturday after 11PM - I'm the tall guy with the buzz cut and big Jewish schnozz. I'll be doing my best to take care of anyone who introduces themselves as a Hoosier Hooligan.

Cheers!

///edit - I didn't see Nicky Hayden on any of the MotoGP machines, sorry for the bad info if he actually wasn't there with the bike.
