Well it was justified. It was the last AMA race for the Ducati Factory team in 2006, and the Suzuki team wanted to boycot the race. I was hanging out in the pits with the team and Bryan. So Beth and I wanted to start some shit with the Suzuki riders . Better judgement prevaled and we had a race!

I would throw down with a Boz Bros. at my back..  I mean if it was justified!

Did I ever tell you guys when Ben Bostrom and I almost started a fist fight with the Suzuki riders @ MidOhio..

Was thinking the same thing on both counts, Scout. I am a VR fanboy to the core but one race don't mean the boss is back. And Dovi and Cal brawling would be AWESOME!

I bet sometime this year Dovi and Crutchlow get into a fight!  I love watching those two race.

i guess we will have to start wishing for rain on race days. She sure looks good in the rain ( Rossi did too ). Hopefully this is beginning of a good relationship.

Guess I picked the wrong day to stop sniffing glue

« on: April 08, 2010, 01:23:06 PM »

So after a few conversations with the good Dr Wooding. I have decided to try to put a group ride together in and around the Lafayette area. still a few bugs to iron out (hoping we can get a local to guide us, attn. Doc).

My cousin owns a bar in downtown Lafayette (The Knickerbocker) and is well known for being a good party host. I will have lodging info(hoping to lock some free) and a few other bits in the coming days.

The dates I am looking at are May 22 or May 29 or Fathers Day weekend June 19th. The plan is to meet up in or near Lafayette, ride all day, park the bikes; Shit, Shower and Shave (faces, legs or both(Mario )). Then party like rock stars.

I am more than willing to be the local guide.  I just can't do it on the 29th of May because I'm the best man in my cousins wedding that day.  I would be able to put a few people up as long as my wife has not been transfered by then.  If we have moved I might be able to have some people stay with me at a buddies house.

Being able to buy cold beer in a grocery store on a Sunday is a good reason to move to Ohio.

Sounds like fun.  The 29th doesn't work for me either.  I will be in WV riding the big bike.( trying not to kill myself.)

I got us a deal on hotel rooms at a Holiday inn select about a block away from the bar and in the center of all the other bars and restaunts. $80 a nite, PM me to let me know who wants a room and I will book them. We (Jeanne and I) may be going down Friday nite and the plan is to meet at the hotel at 10:30 or so for brunch and head out for the ridding. For the northern Hoolies, let me know who wants to go down friday night and we will figure out a meet up spot. Remember we are brand loyal but not brand snobs so all brands of bikes are welcome so if you have a buddy you want to bring along do it(I have a friend tagging along on his V-Rod)

Good choice on the hotel. You are right, that IS walking (or crawling) distance from any reputable drinking establishment in down town Lafayette or even across the bridge where the kiddie (not titty) bars are.

Yea that is "the" downtown hotel. I don't know if I would crawl back to the hotel since you have to go by the police station.  Purdue's graduation is the 14th thru the 16th so I'm not sure if all of the campus bars will be open on the 22nd.  Good news is 40,000 students won't be there.

Daren were you planing on eating at the hotel resturant for brunch or somewhere else?
