Well it was justified. It was the last AMA race for the Ducati Factory team in 2006, and the Suzuki team wanted to boycot the race. I was hanging out in the pits with the team and Bryan. So Beth and I wanted to start some shit with the Suzuki riders . Better judgement prevaled and we had a race!

Was thinking the same thing on both counts, Scout. I am a VR fanboy to the core but one race don't mean the boss is back. And Dovi and Cal brawling would be AWESOME!

The ride will take place this Saturday July 18th Registration 11 am to 1 pm followed by all you can eat corn & sausage roast.
Cash bar: beer, mixers, pop & water.
Feature band: "This End Up."
Active F.O.P members & Associate members get in free, all others admission is $10.00, which includes a 2009 Associate membership.
Proceeds go to off set F.O.P. costs & the various charities F.O.P. #36 donates too.

  Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #36

Presents: The Fallen Officer Scholarship Ride

 

When:   July 18th 2009 
        Registration from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm
        Ride starts at 2:00 pm with two stops along route
        Ride ends at FOP 36 Corn & Sausage Roast with food, drink, and entertainment

Where:  South Bend Police Dept
            701 W Sample St, South Bend

Why:     This is an FOP 36 Scholarship fund raiser for local high school seniors.
            The Thomas J. DeRue Sr. Memorial Scholarship honors our fallen South Bend Police
            Officers.

Fees:    $35 rider & $15 for passengers
           Each Rider/passenger will receive an event T shirt, half year associate membership 
           with FOP 36, all you can eat Corn and Sausage, and one drink ticket.
       
        Live band “This End Up” will begin playing at 8:00pm.


All are welcome to ride and celebrate the lives of our fallen heroes, and the future of our children.
This is a full day of entertainment at the cost of a normal ride.

It will be a good ride. Supposed to be 60 miles, with two stops. during the ride. Will be pulling in to the F.O.P. #36 at approximately 5 p.m. I am waiting to here back from the person in charge of the ride but if you cant make it and stil wanna donate we can get the $$ to them and I am sure you will still recieve the shirt and all the goodies as well. I will post as soon as I here.

Ok I just spoke with the guy in charge. As far as the shirts go, he will try his best. He only ordered 150 shirts and is not sure how many bikes will be in the ride.  if he has left overs he will mae sure u get one. The $$ is appreciated as it goes towards a scholarship. This is the 1st year for this ride and he is trying to feel things out. If all goes well we will have this ride every year for the corn roast.

We have a problem The same day is Ducati Indianapolis open house party for the two years anniversary. I think we need to get the hooligans there.

I wish I could participate in both but I'll be in Indy at the anniversary party - gotta support my favorite dealership, PLUS they have the new Haden 848 and I want to see that!
