Well it was justified. It was the last AMA race for the Ducati Factory team in 2006, and the Suzuki team wanted to boycot the race. I was hanging out in the pits with the team and Bryan. So Beth and I wanted to start some shit with the Suzuki riders . Better judgement prevaled and we had a race!

Was thinking the same thing on both counts, Scout. I am a VR fanboy to the core but one race don't mean the boss is back. And Dovi and Cal brawling would be AWESOME!

I bet sometime this year Dovi and Crutchlow get into a fight!  I love watching those two race.

i guess we will have to start wishing for rain on race days. She sure looks good in the rain ( Rossi did too ). Hopefully this is beginning of a good relationship.

I'm headed up to The Fort to check up on one of my favorite bands next week, and I'm hoping to make the trip on the Monster.  I'll be leaving from Fishers, and since it's on Friday night and I'll probably have to leave around rush hour, I'd like to avoid I-69 North.

Google Maps doesn't offer a whole lot of help, so if you have good way to head north that doesn't involve the highway I'd love to hear it.

Good stop-off places to dine would be a bonus.

Thanks in advance!

I would take IN-37 to IN-9 to US-24 if you want to avoid I-69.  This is a mix of 4 and 2 lane highways thru farm country.  You will go thru Elwood, Marion, Huntington, and Roanoke before you get to Ft Wayne.  Not sure about food in Elwood or Marion but there is a good mexican place along 24 in Huntington and a chicago style pizza place just as you get into Ft Wayne also along 24. If you want fine dinning one of the best places in the area is in Roanoke.  Also Ft Wayne has alot of great places to eat depending on where the show is at, how far you are willing to travel, and what type of food you want.

I have traveled this route more then a few times.  My uncle lives in Noblesville and my parents are in Huntington.  It is faster to get to one anothers place on 9 and 37 then 69.  If you should need anything while in Ft Wayne let me know.  My wife and I will be either at her mom's place in Ft Wayne or my parents' place in Huntington all weekend.

Being able to buy cold beer in a grocery store on a Sunday is a good reason to move to Ohio.
