Well it was justified. It was the last AMA race for the Ducati Factory team in 2006, and the Suzuki team wanted to boycot the race. I was hanging out in the pits with the team and Bryan. So Beth and I wanted to start some shit with the Suzuki riders . Better judgement prevaled and we had a race!

I would throw down with a Boz Bros. at my back..  I mean if it was justified!

Did I ever tell you guys when Ben Bostrom and I almost started a fist fight with the Suzuki riders @ MidOhio..

Was thinking the same thing on both counts, Scout. I am a VR fanboy to the core but one race don't mean the boss is back. And Dovi and Cal brawling would be AWESOME!

I bet sometime this year Dovi and Crutchlow get into a fight!  I love watching those two race.

Before everyone goes out and buys VR46 everything, just remember last year at Le Mans.......

i guess we will have to start wishing for rain on race days. She sure looks good in the rain ( Rossi did too ). Hopefully this is beginning of a good relationship.

I went down today, consider it a lesson learned.

Looks like I might be without a bike for a few weeks maybe depending on how fast I can get parts. For anybody that's been to Putnam Park, I lowsided coming out of deadbear. Only injury I came out of it with is a sore shoulder, feels like I got punched in the arm really hard and a bruised ego. As for my bike ?

Well, it's seen better days but it's not as bad as it looks.....

This is what caused it.

Notice the left side frame slider, that's what saved the tank. GO SPEEDYMOTO !!!!!!

Lost the bar end for my mirror too.

List so far looks like: handlebar tube, barend mirror, left side switch-gear, headlight brackets, new front signals, frame sliders, more confidence.

I'm not going back to the track until I either get a more suited bike or high-pipes.

Covering the scratches with stickers or repaint? I could hook you up with a paint job if you go that route.

I can do it in my garage, I got a decent gun and enough knowhow to do it I think. I need to experiment with my airbrush anyway. If I can't get what I want out of it I'll take you up on the offer, thank you.

That sucks, brother, but it could have been worse, I guess.

Glad you are okay. Maybe this will convince your wife that you "need" a track bike!

Or high mount exhaust at least

What happened was I asked one of the control riders to follow me around for a couple of laps because something didn't feel right and I knew I'd gone faster. He'd followed me for a little bit and then passed me & tapped his tail (telling me to stick tight) coming out of the bus stop and coming out of dead bear is when I bit it. I got to give big props to SBTT though because he looked back and seen what happened and immediately turned around on the little loop to make sure I was o.k. and appologised the whole time for me crashing. I told him not to worry about it cause it was MY fault I went down not his. I should have been hanging off way more than I was because I knew I'd be dragging mufflers at one time or another.
