Well it was justified. It was the last AMA race for the Ducati Factory team in 2006, and the Suzuki team wanted to boycot the race. I was hanging out in the pits with the team and Bryan. So Beth and I wanted to start some shit with the Suzuki riders . Better judgement prevaled and we had a race!

I would throw down with a Boz Bros. at my back..  I mean if it was justified!

Did I ever tell you guys when Ben Bostrom and I almost started a fist fight with the Suzuki riders @ MidOhio..

Was thinking the same thing on both counts, Scout. I am a VR fanboy to the core but one race don't mean the boss is back. And Dovi and Cal brawling would be AWESOME!
I bet sometime this year Dovi and Crutchlow get into a fight!  I love watching those two race.

Before everyone goes out and buys VR46 everything, just remember last year at Le Mans.......

i guess we will have to start wishing for rain on race days. She sure looks good in the rain ( Rossi did too ). Hopefully this is beginning of a good relationship.

I found out about the club on craigslist posting "VINTAGE BIKE NIGHT THIS WEEKEND (Carmel/Westfield/Noblesville) - Don't forget about vintage bike night this Saturday, August 22nd! We will meet at Retro Motorcycle Shop in Carmel. We will go cruise from there. If you want to join us, shoot an email! We specialize in vintage and non-current motorcycles, but all bikes are welcome! Bring your Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Yamaha, Harley, BMW, Triumph, Ducati, Sportbike/ Crotch Rockert, Bobber, Chopper, Cafe Racer, etc!

I wrote him an email asking for more details and got back:
"The plan is to meet at Retro Motorcycle Service on Saturday
afternoon from  3 to 4 PM. This will be a "system check" for those
interested. You can check tire pressure, lube chains, top off oil or
make any simple adjustments. Oils, lube and air are available at the
shop at no charge. Pop and water will be available courtesy of Retro
Motorcycle Service.
From there we'll ride to Pizza King located in downtown Noblesville
located on 10th street. Do the obvious, get a little pizza and
refreshment. This location has the possibility to become the meeting
spot for the Retro Riders.
After food we'll RIDE! There are currently no planned routes,
except we'll be headed away from 4 wheelers and looking for some nice
open space north of town.  The point is just get some wind, as long
as we're doing that we'll figure it out from there. There are some
local car shows and such we may cruise to. Otherwise we're open to
suggestions for side trips, keeping in mind our range for this ride.
At the first event we can discuss options for future rides, meet
spots and whatever we need to get better organized. Basically a
chance to meet everyone and find out what we might like to do in the
future.
One of the things we'll cover is our second ride the following week.
With the Moto GP racing coming so close it would be fun to organize a
ride there. The Saturday before the race has a lot of
motorcycle-related events. There is a dirt track race at the fair
grounds and there will be thousands of motorcycles converging on 16th
and Georgetown. So we plan to get a group to ride to the track.

Thanks again for everyones interest in Retro Riders!

I hadn't picked out a time... I've had a long tiring week so I doubt I'll be rolling out of bed at 6am, but we can get a start whenever.... maybe 10am or so?  That should get us there around noon when it starts, right?

Let's try for a 10 o clock departure from the southside.  I'll meet you at the bypass and Ironwood.

Bryan or Mario

Don't know how you plan on coming down south but would be willing to meet up somewhere along the way.  If you come I-65 could meet in Lafayette or if you go US 31 I can meet in Kokomo. Let me know either way.

We'd be coming down 31, leaving the Mishawaka area around 9am, and planning to arrive a tad before noon.  Feel free to email or PM me - messages go to my blackberry
