Well it was justified. It was the last AMA race for the Ducati Factory team in 2006, and the Suzuki team wanted to boycot the race. I was hanging out in the pits with the team and Bryan. So Beth and I wanted to start some shit with the Suzuki riders . Better judgement prevaled and we had a race!

I would throw down with a Boz Bros. at my back..  I mean if it was justified!

Did I ever tell you guys when Ben Bostrom and I almost started a fist fight with the Suzuki riders @ MidOhio..

Was thinking the same thing on both counts, Scout. I am a VR fanboy to the core but one race don't mean the boss is back. And Dovi and Cal brawling would be AWESOME!

I bet sometime this year Dovi and Crutchlow get into a fight!  I love watching those two race.

i guess we will have to start wishing for rain on race days. She sure looks good in the rain ( Rossi did too ). Hopefully this is beginning of a good relationship.

I wasn't sure where to put this but since I went for a ride today this is where it's ending up.

I like to ride the blacktop roads outside of town. They start here and there and wander out into somewhere else. Ususally the outlying "communities" as they once were back in the day. These roads are usually scenic with rolling hills and pretty scenery. At least as nice as it can get for a town of 7500 people. I encountered something that stuck me as peculiar today on one of the roads I've rode before. Once I seen it I had to tirn around in a driveway and go back to see what I thought I saw. Going out of town you can't see it but coming back you can. This one corner starts off cambered(sp?) but it goes off camber as you come out of it. It's not really sharp or anything and when the camber changes is at the crest of a hill. Since I've rode on a real racetrack a few times and learned some stuff, now I know what to look for. I guess that's why I never noticed it before. The way the lay of the land is it's for water runoff when it rains.

Everybody please post up roads you run into like this. I found it odd myself, but that's just me.

A lot of the newer roads are doing that for like you said water drainage.  Most of the roads with it up here are such a slight slope its hard to tell.  The road you are talking about sounds a little more.

This is a "peculiar" road I found near Kendalville.  It runs alongside the tracks for miles, criss-crossing them at least twice, which was loads of fun on the Multi Roll Eyes, then abruptly ends in this little woods, in the middle of nowhere:

As you can see, it gets regular use, but it literally goes nowhere, so I'm curious as hell.  There is no evidence of anything going on at the end; no campfire, no trash, nothing.  I want to go back for another look, carrying more firepower than my usual Tomcat.

That's the road I made to lure adventure riders out in the middle of nowhere.  Then when they look perplexed at why it ends miles back I jump up, knock them out, and ride off into the sunset on a sweet Multi.  See you next time...or not?!  Grin

Power line or track maintenance access?  There's probably some guy who's paid to drive that road and even he doesn't know why.

Around here, we like to run Ply-Goshen Tr. between Bremen and Plymouth, not the best road but some good twisties, we call it the "Amish Chicane."
