We'll be featuring the live music of Scrap Yard, a rockin' dance party band that will take you back to the 80's, when big hair and head banging ruled. Drummer Chuck Simpson certainly rules the stage, leading the beat with precision and power, without the need for glam hair and makeup.
The party will be serving food and spirits to toast up another riding season gone by.

Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course
Lexington, Ohio
July 24th thru 26th

2009 marks the 18th year of AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days and the event's 15th year at the world-class complex of Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. The world's largest SWAP Meet. Free seminars, vintage motocross and vintage road racing. One of the largest motorcycle events in the nation. All major manufacturers represented with displays, many of them doing demo rides. A group of R.A.T. s (Riders Association of Triumph) will probably be headed that way for their annual migration. A guaranteed great weekend! There will be two days of track riding and training administered by Sportbike Tracktime. The Ducati Display Truck will be offering demo rides on new Ducatis, and Red Bull will feature an outdoor, drive-in-theatre style movie, serving popcorn and snacks. The favorite ride of the year. Dave works hard to plan this one, with a variety of things to do, places to go, things to eat. He has already reserved our favorite resort in Kewadin called The Water's Edge, which is a group of charming cottages on Elk Lake, only two miles from the famous Pearl's Restaurant in Elk Rapids. The proprietors are kind enough to allow us to build fires, drink, and be loud. (Unless this year we happen to have a nice, quiet group.) Note: some of us might remember that this is the first place we've ever seen with an "extra charge for vomiting" sign posted in the bathrooms.
