Kalamazoo, MI Cars Bikes and Coffee Meet

OFFICIAL EMAIL CONTACT FOR MEET: kzoocarsncoffee@yahoo.com
Please use this email if you do not frequent this forum for updates, and to preregister for the event (there will be benefits to doing so, but it is not required)

Hey, anybody in the Kalamazoo area: Cars Bikes and Coffee morning meet, starting Saturday, April 25th starting at 8 am. We're aiming to make it a really open format as far as what type/brand/year of cars and bikes to bring (think Woodward Autozone meet, if you've ever been to that) If this takes off it would be kinda cool to alternate time of day / location...1 weekend = coffeeshop, next weekend = lunch somewhere, next weekend drive-in rootbeer stand + cruise? Should be fun, just gotta round up all the kalamazoo area entusiasts!

Definitely want to see a lot of Duicati's there, but of course, other bikes are welcome. We do have a BMW R1200S coming as well. A couple guys at work and myself originally started the idea as a cars and coffee, so there are more car enthusiasts officially attending, but once the local shops get our email, there hopefully will be more. I'm really interested in seeing some sick Ducati's, so if you know any other Ducatistas out there, send them an email.

Here is the official list of people attending (pre registration is not necessary, just appreciated, so there should be more than this coming)
1: Eric (2000 BMW M coupe)
2: Tony (2002 Audi S4)
3: DucatiTorrey (2009 Ducati Monster 696 Dark)
4: Nick (2008 Triumph Thruxton)
5: Matt (1998 Lexus GS400)
6: Ed (1997 Bmw M3/4/5)
7: Craig (1999 Bmw M3)
8. Shane (1991 BMW 318i 24V 6MT swap car)
9. Chris (05 BMW 330i zhp) Grand Rapids/Ada, MI
10. Drew (2008 BMW R1200S)
11. Mike (B7 A4 S-Line and/or urban assault vehicle
12. Nkryptit (2008 Ducati Monster 696 Dark)
13. Billy Falcon (2009 HD Iron 883)

We are also trying to get some more exotic cars as well, like ferraris or lambos.

1098R anyone?

As this list grows i will update it as to who is coming and with what. It can also be found on car forums such as:
http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1180102

I know its early in the morning, but we should be there for a number of hours, i mean, we have the street closed off for the day basically. So whenever you can come, it would be awesome to see a great turn out for the first event.

Official location right now is Water Street Coffee Joint, downtown Kalamazoo (The City of Kalamazoo is still going through necessary paperwork/approvals, but it doesn't sound like we'll encounter any issues). We will be closing E. Water street between N. Pitcher St. and E. Kalamazoo Ave. (Water Street Coffee Joint is located at 390 E. Water Street).

We do have a backup location just in case. (492 Romence Rd., Portage, MI) There is a Starbuck's coffee, Los Amigo's Mexican restaurant, CiCi's pizza, ice cream, Jet's pizza in the plaza, and a shopping mall across the street

So shoot us an email and let us know if you and some friends can make it. Hope to see you there!

(by the way, i saw some Hoosier Hooligan business cards at Life Cycle, here in Kalamazoo, good work!)

Hey, anybody in the Kalamazoo area: Cars Bikes and Coffee meet, starting Saturday, April 25th. We're aiming to make it a really open format as far as what type/brand/year of cars and bikes (think Woodward Autozone meet, if you've ever been to that, or a DucsUnlimited meet on the east side) Should be fun, just gotta round up all the southwest Michigan entusiasts!

Details have changed a bit, but here is the FINAL location:

Bilbo's Pizza / Brewery
6202 South Westnedge Avenue
Portage, MI 49002
(269) 323-8855

http://www.bilbospizza.com

Bilbo's is located in a large shopping plaza, and across a parking area from Bilbo's is a Barnes and Noble / Starbuck's. Also, right across Milham Ave is a Panera Bread. (see map) We'll meet around 9AM and park in Bilbo's parking area (see map). (I'll probably arrive between 8:30 and 9 am) Panera opens at 6AM, Starbuck's opens at 9AM, and Bilbo's opens at 11AM.

feel free to arrive whenever you want we will be there between 9 am and ?? 3pm?

Bilbo's will be closing off the bar area of their restaurant for our use for a few hours, starting at 11AM.

For anyone who hasn't had Bilbo's pizza, it's delicious, worth a trip!

Also, their drink menu isn't on their website so here it is (although I think things get changed around pretty frequently)

Detailed map (red highlighted area on above map) and parking area (highlighted in red):

hope to see you guys there!

Bump reminder:
Dont forget tomorrow morning is the event!!! Also, remind those coming of the new location, posted after the original post (new location is at Bilbos on westnedge ave)

I really hope to have a good turn out from other areas outside west michigan! Should be a blast.

Our host Bilbos Pizza is also closing the upper deck off of the bar for us, which overlooks the parking lot i guess, giving us a view of all the sick toys that will be there!

The weather says 30% of scattered thunderstorms, but not until 6 pm. Hope this doesn't detract all of those planning on making it tomorrow. We will start arriving at 9 am, and stay until maybe 2 or 3. After that its up in there air, but a visit to the Bells brewery would be fun. the beer garden is in full swing. A ride after may be fun as well, though some of you already will have a 2 hour ride afterwards anyways.

hope you guys and gals can make it, look forward to meeting some fellow enthusiasts!
