Black monster, leather jacket, and full face helmet... I could see how it would be mistakable. Now if I was mistaken for him walking down the road then there would be fighting words! haha

Hooligans on the snow.
«

Well awhile ago I was talking to Ron and Jared about something for us to do over the winter.
I know some members have snowmobiles and some like to ski/snowboard.
Ron is an avid skier, and suggested we get a bunch of guys and head up to Swiss Valley, Jones, MI to have some fun.
I never formally discussed this here on the forum, and sTD just yelled at me tonight for not doing it. I guess he's also good on skis. ( You are not fast enough for snowboards)
So on January 21St six of us headed up to Swiss Valley to ski. ( I have been off a set of skis for almost 19 years).
Ron, Angie, Bill, Chris, Jared and myself.
Outcome a fun day and something fun to do in the snow. I crashed and dislocated my left shoulder. But I assure you that won't be keeping me from going back.
So who's up next?

Till I crashed and ruined everyone else's day
they had to drive me to the hospital, back in South Bend
The end
They went back to Swiss Valley tonight without me. So lets get another group together, and pick a date for next week. Hopefully I should be able to slide down hill again.

Well this thread had so much promise at the start. It was filled with so much excitement and anticipation. I have only water skied and enjoy that a lot. Having never snow skied I don't understand it but I have been past Swiss Valley on the bike. My question is how can you get enough speed to hurt yourself? That is certainly no mountain. Did you actually fall off a bar stool? I think too many details are missing in this caper.

It was late in the evening and I was going pretty fast down the intermediate slope. As I started to "pizza" (brake) to slown down, I hit some ice. I lost control tumbling down hill face first. During my tumble at some point, I landed on my left shoulder dislocating it. My gear was everywhere.

You realize you are getting old now, right? This is when it starts hitting home. Pretty soon you are riding in the back of a ambulance to Memorial asking if they know Mario. Wait, that is my story.

He had his skis on the wrong feet.
Note to self: To stop faster, hit a nice soft fir tree.

Not to change the subject, but everyone kept saying that to me when I was in the hospital in Indy: "you know you aren't 20 anymore don't you?". I guess I' m not 20 any more, I can't even type a dangerous sentence without dislocating my, well, you know!
