If anybody does you have to do hwy 119 just north of Petoski, road is called Tunnel of Trees and it is about 50 miles of curves, twists and switch backs all along the lake, way cool.

Daren, I've always wanted to make that trip. Maybe next year...

so ride like a knob

« on: February 01, 2009, 11:28:29 AM »

Alright, let's get this thing going already:

June 12-14 (Friday-Sunday)

Tentative plans:

Meet up Friday afternoon at Carr Moto for dinner, shenanigans, etc.
Camp (or cheap hotel for you pansies Cry).

Depart Indy Saturday morning, and ride all day around southern Indiana, finishing up at Upland Brewery in Bloomington.  Highly desirable, yet cheesy awards of my choosing handed out.  More shenanigans, etc. Camp/cheap hotel.

Breakfast together Sunday morning.
Bolt for home.

That's it... everything is subject to change... except shenanigans

------------------------------------------

Notes:

If the group is over 10 riders, we'll have to split up, so if BS winds up not in my group, someone take his GPS and toss it into the river.

I would really prefer that we all camp together, which is, after all, the reason for this ride: being together.  I wanted to take a hard line here, but what do you guys think?

Oni's place is too far west to use as a destination.  Rob & Jason both are southeast.  Plus, I'd rather have him riding than working.

The route is top secret, but will be off-highway as much as possible (no dirt though Angry)  I'm getting help from some southern ADV friends here.

Put up or shut up

I'm farther west than Oni and I'm as far south as you can go. I'll see what I can do about getting away for a couple of days.
