We've made the AMA Superbike weekend at Mid-Ohio a regular club event for several years and it's coming upon us again.  Tickets can be bought in advance or can be bought at the gate.  Club members have generally camped and we've had more fun than the law should allow

Ticket information is available from the venue's website, http://www.midohio.com/Schedule/Honda-Super-Cycle-Weekend-presented-by-Dunlop-2010

I'm definitely planning to go - there's been too much fun in the past to miss this..... moon shine, sneaking on to the track, dinner with the race teams, hanging out with the DesmOhio crew, laughing at Carlos and Jud sharing a tent without a rainfly in the rain, the shirtless Toastertank strut, oh and there's Ducatis and racing there too.... lots of fun!

Kevin, where's the list for this?

I know a guy that's racing this year... I may have to go see if he's as quick as he says over beers.

I hope that lots of club members are able to make this event - I have an early morning flight, leaving Chicago on the 18th, so IF I go it will just be on Friday the 16th :/

I always hope "lots" of club members are able to make it to events, especially the ones that club members spend time planning   Roll Eyes

Well I was planning on going until my wife got home from work today  Cry.  I will be in Ohio that weekend but not at the races.  I will be looking for apartments in Toledo.  Wife is getting transfered to the North Toledo store.

Just saying it would be nice if more club members attended HH organized and staffed events, not that I don't appreciate the ones that do, it's just incredibly disappointing, when hard work is not rewarded but by the attendance a few (mostly regulars, and mostly the ones doing the work)

Just a little rant, my apologies

So the in-laws are planning on taking the kids to a Columbus Crew MLS game that weekend, and the wife is planning on (get this...) attending a drag show with her hairstylist at Talbot Street on Saturday night - so I suddenly have the weekend free.

Who's riding over from the Indy area?

Kat and I are talking about going to the race next summer and bringing her little brother with us. I need to corrupt him with the essence of Desmodromics.

At this point, I'm planning on making trip.  Current plans have me headed from Indy to Middletown (right near Dayton) Friday evening, 7/16, then leaving Middletown for the track early Saturday 7/17 (google calls it around three hours, depending on route...).  I'll be staying at a hotel near the track overnight Saturday and making the drive back to Indy on Sunday after the racing ends (4+ hours... ouch!).

Anyone interested in linking up on the way there or back, please hit me up.  It's a lot of riding to tackle alone!

OK boys I have decided that I am going to Mid-O for the AMA weekend and forgoing the MotoGP races this year..  Bummer I know but thats the way it is, oh well.  If any one would like a ride or possibly a place to stay for a night or 2 just let me know, I would love to camp with the Ohio boys but since being diagnosed with sleep apnea I need to be near a power source for my cpap machine.  Therefore I will be residing at my aunt and uncles for the weekend, which is like 20 minutes form the track.

I'll see you guys over there.  We are leaving on Thursday and we are helping out 2 riders, Allan Pett and Matt "Stymie" Spannon.
These are two regulars on the dyno down here in Indy and they asked me a few months ago if I would come over to Mid-Ohio and help them with the weekend.  Allan is riding a 600 in Superstock and Matt is doing the doubleheader in Sportbike on a 600.  I think the catch for some people will be that they are on Suzukis.  We'll have the Suzukis at the DucatiIndy/Carrmoto trailer somewhere in the paddock.  If anyone has a problem with the Suzukis at the DucatiIndy trailer I think there are several Carrmoto stickers on the trailer as well. Grin Grin

I hope that Dad and I will have an 848 in the AMA again sometime but it was not in the budget this year.  We are still proud to have the first 848 to compete in Sportbike last year and Gene Burcham finished the Daytona 200 on it without a hiccup.

See you there!!!!

Hey M.C.! Its Mattera. I think an AMA 848 "Spineology" Ducati sounds like a fantastic way to promote our biz LOL
