Black monster, leather jacket, and full face helmet... I could see how it would be mistakable. Now if I was mistaken for him walking down the road then there would be fighting words! haha

I'm planning on making a trip down to Indy on Saturday morning to checkout the new  848.  Who else is planning to go?

I'll be there around 11:00 AM or so. Ask Matt or Reuben (Mechanic) which guy I am. Or just look for the incredibly good looking guy.
Probably gonna eat lunch across the street at 106th Street Grill - excellent burgers, etc

i was thinking about going, but it looks like the weather is thaking a turn to the bad, rumors has it 2-5 3-6 and 3-8 inches of snow in this area. I would hate to get on the road and get in trouble.
We have to serve two party's early evening and have to make sure everything is ready (special menu)

(Mario you want some Chicken Marsala? )

I can bring Chicken Marsala home for Mario if you like

I went today with Mike and Kevin and had a great time.  There was quite a bit of staff there and they were all really great and well informed.  The 848 was pretty cool, but honestly it was a lot like looking at a 1098 (not necessarily a bad thing Smiley )  I more enjoyed the chance to chat with a bunch of fellow Ducatisti.

There was a really nicely modded S2R 1000 that I took a liking too - I snapped a bunch of pics of it and then put the camera away.  I know Kevin took pictures as well and I'm sure he did a better job of capturing the event.

While I didn't get a single picture of any people or even the featured 848, here are the pics I took:

Like I said, I really liked that bike  Shocked

I noticed that it had a few clutch mods, including a milled engine case that was painted black as well as the obligatory pressure plate/clutch cover mods.  I thought the black really stood out nicely with the black tank and red frame.  The engine had been painted red and black as well, and I'm told that it contained a 1080 big bore kit.  The Ex-Box looked nice on the bike - I know that I've been disappointed with the sound of that exhaust in the past, but it sure looked good on that bike.  It also had Cyclecat rearsets, triple, and clip-ons.  The tank was the new plastic type from the S2R but had been painted with the old style Cagiva font.  It looked really nice.  Also, notice the master cylinders and almost enough CF to make Mario jealous

Sorry that I didn't take pics of the right bike or anything else that was going on for that matter - We need to appoint an official photographer, and it shouldn't be me Smiley

I know that bike, and I know it's owner. Belong to a Ducsunlimited member very nice it also was a fetured bike on the DML once.
Matt Carr did the engine work.

As promised...here are the pics!

Already snowing when we got there

The new 848...very nice!

From the front.

The "new" sales guy...this dude is living the dream. Just retired from UPS management and needed something to do, so he decided to sell Ducs! BTW - this guy rides a 2007 1098

MV - Brtuale!

Aprilla

Mike daydreaming about the Aprilla

The "Stable"

The "Whizzer" - this thing had a 40 MPH spedo on it and drum brakes the size of a can of peas.

Stacy ringing up my new t-shirt (I figured the yellow would not only match my bike, but make me go faster because I heard somewhere that yellow is the fastest color!)

Mike showing man love for Brian

A Bimota - never seen on of these in person...sweet bike.

Lunch at Buca - Brian trying to figure out how to call the space station....

Mike happy because the food is coming

For Mario....

WTF?
