There's nowt wrong with respecting your parents wishes..

Well certainly about motor bikes and girls..

Only thing is its that long ago that I can't remember if I ever did.. Embarrassed

Very good points everyone.  Allow me to explain a bit better.  When l posted that l was being sarcastic torward cdd.   my parents not knowing any better, believe the track its more dangerous associating it with racing.  l had to compromise and not give up the bike alltogether.  That was my parents wish. the only reason l gave in as Bryan pointed it out is that 8 months ago l became a dad, so for sake of arguing l said fine l`ll give up track days but not riding.     my parents also did not want me to be a paratrooper, fight in somalia and eventually be a police officer.. they also tried to keep me in school and prevent me from riding bikes, scuba dive, sky dive, box as amatour, join a volunteer fire dept get tattos and many other things. but sometime you got to give in on something, and thinking back l should had stayed in school and be a lawyer today   enough treadjack who`s tracking?  l may sneak one in

coming out of turn 10 too fast, l started sliding the rear, stayed on the gas, and when the rear gripped again l was launched into space Sad   tumbled and slid all the way down the front straight.  one broken finger, dislocated left shoulder battered and bruised allover my body.  bike was a total loss.

damn.. sounds rough!  For you and the bike!   Was the bike just a loss or did you have insurance that covered?   Any idea how fast you were going coming out of 10 or what caused the rear wheel to suddenly re-engage with the surface again so abruptly?

I honestly don't know.  Matt Carr said I crashed because my tires were cooked.  I have no idea how fast I was going. But I was moving pretty good running 1:33 laps at Putnam.  Bike was covered by insurance, I bought it back and fixed it

Quadruple Note to self to check tires before and after every track day!  Smiley  Good to hear that Ins covered.  I've heard of some not covering if it were on a track day event.  I've not yet run on putnam, but 1:33 seems pretty fast!  I'm sure I'll be no where near that.
