If anybody does you have to do hwy 119 just north of Petoski, road is called Tunnel of Trees and it is about 50 miles of curves, twists and switch backs all along the lake, way cool.

The Indy mile is held at the state fairgrounds.  There are not really any places to eat in that area.(Not that you would want to eat in that area.)

I wasn't planning on eating there.  Is it worth my time to take a trip over to see the race?

Need some advice...

Thinking of going it on my own for the hotel thing. The Embassy Suites is nice and all but it is a ways out there. I looked on Epedia and found the "Park Place at City Centre" on Lafayette at Belmont Park. This place worth a shit? Is the neighborhood OK? Was thinking that it is right on the edge of downtown so it would be nice for festivities there...

Any advice would be helpful...

check out the holiday inn that's mentioned in the thread.  I thought the rates were very reasonable given that it's an event weekend, and it's one of the "official" desmo owners club hotels so there should be other Ducs around, decent security for bikes, nearby events, etc.  That's where I'm staying

Hey fellers, My son has bailed on me for the second year of Indy MotoGP, so I thought I'd offer it here first.  I have one Project Mugello ticket set available (includes track lap and other goodies).  Seat is located in the Hoo Hoo section of the stands in Ducati Island.  First come, first served, best offer.  Shoot me a PM or an Email.  I will be at Indy Ducati Thursday afternoon and staying at Comfort Inn and Suites throughout the weekend for handing off the goods.
