Black monster, leather jacket, and full face helmet... I could see how it would be mistakable. Now if I was mistaken for him walking down the road then there would be fighting words! haha

AFAIK they have pretty much run from dawn until dusk, but at night there's live music, camping, and beer so to say it shuts down at dusk isn't really accurate

The gates open @ 0700 and close @ midnight unless you are camping.

I do not have a bike but was thinking about coming up on Saturday or Sunday just to meet a few people and have a good time.  I was wondering if this is a kid friendly event?  My boys are 5 and 7 and I was thinking about bringing to the event.

I'd say so but I don't know how you raise your kids.... for comparison, last year the most not-work-safe it ever got was girls dressed akin to hooters waitresses posing on bikes, but to my knowledge they didn't even plan to do that this year.  I'd anticipate men walking around talking about motorcycles, looking at bikes (mostly Ducs but not exclusively), and later into the evening a bit of beer in the camping area.... never seen what I'd consider a remotely wild party... never saw a boobie there in the history of the event (this is the third year).... if I had kids 5 and 7 I'd take them without giving it another thought.... Look through the gallery to see for yourself what the event looked like - it might help illustrate what I'm trying to describe Smiley

and for reference, I'm anticipating that it will look more like the pics from 2007 than 2008, but I haven't been involved in the planning so I can't swear to anything

I also expect a more low key event this year. Since we are not putting any events, and we did not hire umbrella girls.
